So, I've recently gotten into using the Macrumors forums (among other things) and the Apple Store chat window for all my Apple-related questions and needs, and I have to ask myself: who the hell trains these Apple Store Customer Service Reps?

1. Every single rep I have EVER talked to (except ONE: Janice G., but who knows if that's her real name) has made the most glaring typographical and grammatical errors while chatting with me, with no attempt to fix or acknowledge the error. It's so maddening!
2. This is actually kind of funny; if you ask too many questions about unreleased products such as the 2G iPhone or the new iMacs, they close the chat window!! This has happened to me twice.
3. They can't really tell anyone much of anything in detail; they seem to be very vague and for the most part give very protocol-like answers, such as "Apple Refurbished products are repaired to the highest standard and are like new Apple products." For once I'd like to speak to an Apple Rep who doesn't sound like an automated machine.
And one quick question: has anyone recently recieved an email from an "Apple Direct Representative" regarding some random order that doesn't exist? I got one today, from a guy with an Apple.com email address, and I have never bought anything from Apple. I use Amazon, ABT Electronics, Crucial, etc. for my Mac needs.
Anyone have any other Apple Rep nightmares to share? This isn't meant to be a replacement thread for this, I just wanna spark a discussion about the (few?) dumb@$$ Apple Reps.
