I was just checking my order status for my MBP and noticed that I could still add a message with the "Add a gift message" option. Does anyone know what this message looks like?--is it printed on a simple slip of paper? I was just about to put in, "You own me now."

Wow, it's just on the receipt. That's beyond modest. And I was gonna write a silly message to myself. Thanks, BritishBloke.

I put a message on the Macbook pro I got for g/f on Valentines, she never got the message...lol, but she didn't mind just having the MBP

I think thats rather silly that the GIFT message is on the receipt when you obviously don't want them to see the receipt for a GIFT...

I almost always add a gift message on my receipt because I end up reselling or giving away a lot of my Macs. When you add a gift message they don't put the price on the receipt. It's just something I like to do. The new owner gets the original receipt, but they don't have to see the price.

Interesting. You've done this via the American online store? I may consider doing it then.
