I personally dislike a lot of these lawsuits. Especially when a company is engaging in patent trolling. It hurts not only competition but innovation.

agreed. its ridiculous and cowardly.


we need patents to stop people from stealing from others, but people exploit it sadly.

Exactly !

Companies who have invested millions or billions in R&D should have their intellectual property protected by law, regardless if it's Apple, Samsung, MS, whoever.

The problem is a lot of these companies have created a business of getting a patent they probably have NO intention of ever using but instead just waiting for another business to come close to it and then sue them to hurt their business. There's a fine line between protecting the holder of the patent and purposely creating patents just to hurt the competition.
