Apple has also removed the app that supported Beddit's original hardware and only the 'latest version' is supported (v3.5). Also, the app was last updated over 6 months months ago and the 1-star reviews...while not many of them are starting to pile on as people realize this product is basically dead.
So what's going on then? Does apple think their watch sleep tracking is so good that this product doesn't need to exist? My post-Apple-acquisition Beddit is still working for now, as is the app and I look at my sleep stats every morning. If and when the product stops working, I'll have to find an alternative that has apple health support without having to wear a watch at night.
I thought maybe by posting this maybe a MacRumors editor could ask Apple what's going on and if this device is indeed dead. It's a shame that Beddit never really got a 'real apple product' treatment.
