I am using the latest macOS Sequoia 15.2 and the latest Chrome browser, then I get this message when I try to enable and authenticate the extension by clicking it, any solution for this?

Try updating Chrome and extensions. Working fine for me on MacOS 15.2, Chrome 131.1..., iCloud Passwords 3.0.4

This is a brand new Chrome installation with the latest version of Chrome and the Apple Password extension, my version of Chrome is 131.0.6778.140 not 131.1 as yours though.

I have removed Chome and the extension, re-installed both, same problem, rebooted the MacBook Pro, same thing, there is no way for the extension to work.

Maybe in your case it was installed prior, with other versions, and the update doesn't break it as a new installation. I have also tested it on a different laptop (MacBook Air), same situation. No luck.

Sorry, my Chrome version is 131.0.6778.140 so same as yours. The extension was previously installed. I deleted it and re-installed it and it still works.

Have you checked, Manage Extensions->iCloud Passwords->Details->Extension Options and enable these 2 options?

Thank you for the help, yes, I do have those options enabled, If I click the extension multiple times, I will see the popup posted initially and some times I can see the 6 digit authentication box to enable the extension, but unfortunately it never works, it never shows up.

Honestly I don't have time for unreliable software, probably Apple is doing this intentionally so people continue using Safari.
