Apple Pay does not show transaction amount

Hello all! I recently started using Apple Pay and I overall love it. Works great. But I have a few issues. Mainly, I am wondering why the transaction amount doesn't show up. It shows with just a "--" as I have attached below in the photo. Another thing, is I don't get push notifications for purchases either, and I made sure they're turned on in Notifications in Settings. Lastly, is there a way to make your purchases default to credit? Some terminals don't let me choose between credit and debit. I don't like to put my PIN in every time I make a purchase using Apple Pay. Thanks!

It's like that for all debit cards. My bofa debit is the same. What they shows on the keynote is only for credit cards. Maybe at checkout try selecting credit instead of debit. I haven't try it yet.

I have the same debit card as you and the same thing happens for me. I will try to run it next time as credit and see what happens.

You mentioned turning on purchase notifications. I don't see that setting. Where exactly did you find it?

I ran my recent Apple Pay transaction as credit and it still doesn't show the purchase amount.

My first McDonalds CC transaction did not show amount. The one I did yesterday does show the amount (only difference was it was a different McDonalds).

My AMEX always shows the amount; Wells Fargo debit/credit card never does.

Not to sound like a paranoid conspiracy but.... Maybe it's only for credit cards so you'll more likely to use credit instead of debit. More $ for the credit companies.

Used it at Home Depot, subway and Walgreens. Doesn't show transaction amount with debit card.

I have this same issue- only, it was when returning a product. It has yet to process the return to my credit card company as well. The funny thing is, I purchased the same product at the same place immediately following the return (returned to get a better deal) and the purchase processed immediately with the price and the name of the store it was purchased at, but the return has not.
