Hi, Apple Pay is my primary method of paying but I can't use it to pay for services inside apps. iOS always says me I need a secondary payment method besides the Apple Pay.
Usually i just put a credit card there but I hate this bug.

Why is this happening?

Did your primary credit card expire or is it a debit card on which maybe your bank has restrictions? Can you use that card via Apple Pay in Safari? Have you tried deleting and re-adding it? Or logging out of your Apple ID and back in?

Hello, thank you for your answer.

It didn't expire and it is a debit card (in Apple Pay).
My bank has not any restrictions.
Yes i can use Apple Pay (with that debit card) in safari and with NFC too.
I already deleted my Apple Pay and readded it but the problem persists.

When I'm trying to buy something inside a game or app, it says I need another payment method... :(

This is a problem I have since I can remember. I bought an iPhone 13 a few months ago and the problem persists there too.

I've seen debit cards randomly not work in certain places or otherwise have issues that other cards don't.

My suggestion is to try to get an Apple Card. That will work for everything, you'll get cash back and there's no interest or any other charges if you just pay it off every month. You can probably pay it off no problem with the account that debit card is from.

I wouldn't get an Apple Card just for the app store. I would simply add the other credit card to Apple Pay.
