I don't wear a tin foil hat or anything, but I enjoy security and privacy protection. I was very happy to hear Tim Cook lay out Apple's vision in terms of protecting consumer data. Additionally, reading up on Apple Pay has convinced me that this is a much better way of conducting financial transaction than any other non-cash exchange. Therefore....

With the recent rash of credit card hacks/stolen data, I'm curious how we as consumers will know if a merchant accepts Apple Pay? I'm sure some merchants will sport the actual Apple Pay logo. However, won't certain point of sale machines accept Apple Pay even if the Apple Pay logo isn't displayed on the machine? If so, is there a certain standardized symbol to look for to know if Apple Pay is supported?

Pictures are worth a thousand words.

Anyone else looking forward to Apple Pay rolling out next month?
