Apple Pay Apple Pay in third party browsers

Hi,

it is now more than a year since Apple announced Apple Pay support in third party browsers and I was very much locking forward to it. But until now I have not seen it a single when shopping in the internet.

I mainly use Firefox for shopping. Is it not supported in Firefox, do I need to activate it somehow or are the shops just very slow in implementing it?

Do you have an iPhone or iPad with iOS 18? Required to use Apple Pay on non-WebKit desktop browsers. You should see Apple Pay QR code in browser if all requirements met. Scan using iOS device and auth payment.

Firefox doesn't support Apple Pay, it's a known bug.

You can go to https://applepaydemo.apple.com to try it out in other browsers. It works fine in Chrome and Edge.

Yes, an iPhone 16 Pro and an iPad Pro from 2024.

So I guess I am out of luck and have to continue using PayPal, what I would prefer not to or change the browser.
