Apple Pay not working in UK

Got a new series 4 and restored from back up. No matter what I do I cannot add my 2 debit cards to apple. They work ok on my phone. Anyone else having this trouble today?

Are you scanning the card, or clicking “add” on the button under the “other cards on your phone” section?

Some cards get annoyed if added to a watch if not added from scratch (ie by clicking add then scanning cards)

Yep. Tried everything. I removed and readded to my phone and now that’s not working either.

I’ve just added my RBS card to my new series 4 fine.

I do remember when I got my series 3 last year I had issues adding cards but turned out to be a bank problem and it worked fine a couple days later

Multiple banks have been having issues today in the UK - with customers not being able to access online banking, etc. Wondering if this might be related?
