Is Apple Pay available on iPad?

I don't know whether new outlets have just said things in a confusing way but from a video I watched over at Macworld, it looks like the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 allows you to use Apple Pay? Is this right?

I would have thought it's not as iPads don't have Passbook.

I am mistaken aren't I?

The new iPad will support apple pay but to purchase things online with it and not in store transactions.

Oh man - people already make fun of iPad photo takers. Now roll out the jokes for people pulling out iPads to buy a stick of gum. iPayees....

I think I read somewhere that ifixit said that iPad Air 2 already have NFC built in?? I could be wrong. :apple:

It has the NFC chip but no decernible aerial, so not sure how it work? Although if it doesn't have a use why build it in?

Does not have NFC.

It has one peice of the NFC circuit, the part with the secure element, but not the rest.

Yes, my Air 2 has apple pay but no PassBook app. Not sure how it works yet but need to look into it.

Add your credit card in settings.

Try ordering at OpenTable, Panera, or the like which supports ApplePay and see if you have an option.
