Just made my very first Apple Pay transaction on a vending machine here at work. Works like a charm. You dont even have to open Passbook. It automatically opens the Passbook app once the phone is near, like 2 inches near the terminal.

Loving it

I have successfully managed to spend the entire day using Apple Pay,

First I gotten gas by waving my phone over the reader. The bad part is that they don't have PayPass on the pump, you actually have to go inside, oh well.

Then I gotten groceries from Basha's, waved my phone over the reader, the people at Basha's didn't even know they had NFC until I waved my phone. The terminal has no mention of NFC on it whatsoever, but tap your phone and voila.

Then I got a Fanta from a Vending Machine, using Apple Pay.

Made a Walgreens stop as well. Looking good Apple, Looking good.

On launch day, I managed to pay to get a new Timing Belt from Big 'O tires, and surprise surprise, they had an NFC terminal, and I was even able to get my car fixed with Apple Pay.
