Apple today sent out emails for a new Apple Pay promotion, offering a $15 discount on 1-800-Flowers just ahead of Mother's Day, which takes place on Sunday, May 12.

To get the discount, you'll need to use Apple Pay and shop the Mother's Day Collection in the 1-800-Flowers app. You can also visit the 1-800-Flowers website to receive the special pricing.

The discount will be applied automatically during the checkout process and will be available until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on May 10, 2019. Apple says some restrictions and exclusions may apply, based on availability and other factors.

The Mother's Day Collection includes a variety of different floral arrangements featuring roses, lilies, mixed flowers, chocolates, orchids, and more. Pricing with the discount starts at $35.

Apple's promotion also provides links to Macy's, Print Studio, and Etsy for Mother's Day gift ideas, and it suggests that you "split a gift for mom" using Apple Pay Cash.

Last time I used 800-Flowers they screwed up my order (never even delivered it). Then later sent me a letter later saying their billing systems were hacked and my cc info compromised.

Support was abysmal. Hard pass! Go local.

Yup, shop local. Price won't be any less attractive (flowers are way too expensive!), but you'll be supporting your local economy, and that's important.

Wow. Thought I would try this just once. Got all the way to the end and then saw the $20 “service charge” ($5 for any delivery near mother’s day and another $15 just because I was ordering something under $79). NOPE. HyVee has never let me down, nor has any local florist. The more you know!

Can’t forget Mom, but for me, I’d rather make it more personable with a card, then taking her out to dinner. But that’s just me.

Nobody can get me flowers because I have a cat who considers bouquets her salad bar. I do sometimes order flowers for my husband to receive at work. That’s how I found out 800 Flowers is hit or miss, myself.

1-800 flowers is a garbage company. Pro tip: Schedule the delivery for a week before Mother’s Day, and maybe it will arrive by then.

These online florist have a shipping fee and also an added delivery fee. the $15 would barely cover those. Get flowers locally if you can.
