Apple today sent out emails highlighting the latest Apple Pay promo, which offers a $5 discount on an order of $10 or more placed through the Uber Eats app.

The discount can be applied when checking out with Apple Pay after the promo code APPLEPAY5 is entered.

The $5 Uber Eats discount will be available from November 8 through November 10, and is only valid when spending over $10 before taxes or fees. The offer is limited to one discount per customer, and delivery fees and service fees still apply.

You always spend more than $10 it seems. A lot more than $10.
Keep in mind to tip your driver in cash or Apple Cash because sometimes Uber Eats keeps the tip or gives half to driver.

I wanted to use this, but after delivery fee, some fee and tip my order was over $10 before i even added anything to the cart. Have i been away from this app this long, i remember it being cheaper...?

Uber Eats is awesome! I use it all the time but I always reload my Uber account with $100 because Uber charges $95, 5% discount so I don't think there's a way to pay directly with Apple Pay - they always use available credit before charging the credit card otherwise I would definitely do this promotion, this is a really good deal...

Yep, basically a ripoff now. If you are ordering for a family of 10, it's fine, but for one person, don't bother. The order of wings I get from a local place, the fees Uber tacks on cost more than the product, pretty laughable. It's an unsustainable business model unless they charge over 100% fees.

Not going to lie, I do use these food delivery services because they are so convenient depending on where you live.

However, the fees are astronomical. You will easily pay $20 for a sandwich, drink and fees + tip. The fees probably have something to do on the backend with regards to taxes or keeping track of certain expenditures, but I'd rather see one fee than two or three and a tip. Just have the order cost (which is usually higher than the in-store price), the delivery fee and tip.

At any rate, $5 off really doesn't mean much. I used this and my order was just cents shy of $20 for a sub, chips and a $5 tip.

You can order on UberEats and pickup... it's a new feature that just started showing up in my area.

This is perfect because I'm home sick. I used the code. Thanks MR.

So true. I don't use it often but sometimes it so convenient when you just don't want to or can't go out.
