Apple has announced that it will again donate $5 to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria for every purchase made using Apple Pay on Apple.com, through the Apple Store app, or at an Apple Store in the U.S. and many other countries from today through December 7. Apple's donation this year will be capped at $3 million.

The Global Fund is a public-private partnership that aims to combat diseases such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria throughout the developing world. Apple says that its annual donation will "help fund critical health programs that save lives."

Apple runs this donation campaign ahead of World AIDS Day on December 1 each year.

Apple has supported The Global Fund for 19 years through its partnership with the (RED) brand, co-founded by U2 singer Bono. However, Apple no longer offers any devices in the charitable (PRODUCT)RED color, so the partnership feels less prominent now. The only product still available in (PRODUCT)RED is a single iPhone 14 case.

Last year, Apple said it had raised more than $250 million for (RED) to date.

AIDS!!?

“Nobody's got AIDS! I don't want to hear that word in here again!”

In all seriousness though I would’ve gotten an RED case for my 16 pro max through apple if it was available too bad they stopped that collaboration

Glad they are helping out. They don’t have to do any of this and am waiting for the “they are a four trillion dollar company and they are being cheap with these parameters”.

I'm sure Trump and Republicans are in favor of this/s.
When Elon Musk was the head of DOGE, he cut USAID funding for lifesaving medicine for HIV-positive children in Africa. In other words, the world's richest man killing the world's poorest children. As awful as Tim Cook is, he's not as awful as Musk.

By not donating tax payers money he isnt killing anyone, imagine if I said you are killing people daily because you arent giving money to shady charity organizations that pocket 95% of the money you would, rightfully, call me ridiculous. Why are we focused on saving lives in other countries when we don't even take care of the health care of our own country. Charity starts at home.

I am tired of spending billions a year to help give the rest of the world free healthcare when I have to pay 50k for my wife to get surgery. Spare me the crocodile tears about africa, since 1960 over 2.3 trillion dollars has been sent to africa and the aid has been more destructive then helpful.
