So I was in Toys R Us today. An official Apple Pay supporter, and used Apple Pay at check out. My phone said "Done" and on the POS terminal it showed the payment method as XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-1234, but it then showed two buttons. One was for a signature, and the other for a PIN. Obviously I didn't have a PIN for this so I had to sign for it before it would accept. Why would this be the case? Also the transaction was below $25.00.

It's treated like a credit card transaction so until they update the POS terminal software to allow more options than just credit or debit, we'll likely see this happening.

I've used Apple Pay at other locations and I never had to sign.
