Apple Pay w/ Citi Debit Card Fails after PIN

Hello everyone,

I tried using Apple Pay at the TMobile store and Home Depot today. In both instances, the touch ID came right up and it seemed to accept it. It then asked for my PIN however, and when I entered the pin, the transaction failed.

I am using a Citibank debit, and there seems to be not way for me to flag it as something other than a debit.

Any ideas?

Was this MasterCard?

There have been several reports of MasterCard transactions failing at Home Depot.

My Citi MasterCard (credit) was declined on two different trips. Switching to Costco Amex worked on the first trip, switching to Chase Visa worked on the second trip.

havent had any issues with Citi and Mastercard
