Apple Pay with Apple Watch question

I didn't see an Apple Pay forum, so I figured I would post here. If I enter my debit card into Apple Pay, is it safe to use online? To buy things from like Amazon? I know it's frowed upon to pay online using a debit card because it's a direct line to your bank account, but with Apple Pay is it safe to pay for online items?

Amazon is safe for any kind of card. I wouldn't be so paranoid. Just use your debit card.

You cannot use the Watch to make online purchases with Apple Pay. With that being said, Paying with Apple Pay via iPhone or iPad is the safest way to pay online.

They were testing the Amazon Watch app.

You can buy something from amazon using the watch app but it uses the card you have on file with them NOT Apple Pay
