Hi! I have been using an Apple Pencil 2 for most of my schoolwork but today, I took it off of my iPad to write, and it didn’t do anything! The charging indicator shows, and the iPad recognizes it, but it flat out doesn’t work! Did this happen to anyone else, or does anyone know of a solution? I have tried unpairing and repairing with no luck.

UPDATE
The pencil works only if I apply a million pounds of force.

I wouldn't apply too much force, as you could break the tip or scratch the screen. Try doing a hard reset, and if that fails, do you have any warranty left? Maybe your CC has a extended warranty protection?

edit: Also try to unscrew the tip, clean it on inside, and rescrew. Maybe a new tip will solve the problem

UPDATE:

I have contacted apple, and they said that my pencil was broken, and that they were going to send me a new one, and I would send back the old one. Thanks for all the help everyone!
