Apple Pencil no longer connects

How do I fix this?

The pencil is fully charged
Bluetooth on iPad is on

Will not connect when pencil physically inserted in ipad
Will not connect after cycling ipd
Will not connect after hard restart of ipad


Pencil was working as of yesterday

Go into settings blue toth and remove the pencil, forget this device also confirm there is no other pencil paired as well. If so forget that paining as well. Power down (shut off) and or soft reset and plug your pencil in again and pair.

forgetting the device and adding it back worked! thanks not sure why it wasn't working
