This discount is part of Amazon's early access deals for Prime Big Deal Days, which officially begins on October 8. We've been tracking early deals for the event this weekend, and it also includes discounts on AirPods, iPads, MacBooks, and more.

The Apple Pencil Pro launched in May alongside the new 2024 iPad lineup, introducing new gestures and capabilities into the stylus. The Apple Pencil Pro is compatible with the M4 iPad Pro and the M2 iPad Air, and marks the first update to the Apple Pencil since the Apple Pencil 2 in 2018.

Keep up with all of this week's best discounts on Apple products and related accessories in our dedicated Apple Deals roundup.

Count me in as another who jumped on the deal. I didn’t use my pencil often with my older iPad, but maybe the extra features will encourage me to use this new one.

Has anybody found a knockoff of the pencil pro yet? The knockoffs available for the second gen work but they don’t magnetically charge with the m4s.

$100 for a literal stylus
Well yeah, if you're not using it for anything more complicated than poking the screen, and you don't need any of its actual features, then you're right, it is technically just a "literal stylus"

Meanwhile, third-party styluses for iOS can be found for as little as $1 online.

But have you seen any that magnetically charge with the m4 iPads? Seriously, I need a cheap stylus for travel.

Yeah, and they work just as well. Right?
For the most basic stylus functions, yeah, it actually does. And if you get a bad one, well... you could buy dozens and still not spend as much for a single Apple branded stylus.

Thanks, I'll stick with more than just basic for my needs.
