Apple pencil vs alternative for photo editing?
I've looked and it seems there are basic styluses, some other rechargeable ones, and others that have Bluetooth. Very new to iPad and never used a stylus so I'm a bit confused.
For my use it's Lightroom and Photoshop/affinity mainly, to be used for photo editing. Not planning to sketch/draw in like procreate, and PROBABLY not taking notes.
At first I thought just the most basic capacitive stylus would be fine since it's mostly about pointing/keeping a whole hand off screen for fine tuning. But as it gets to touch up and as Photoshop improves, as I start using affinity, I can see pressure sensitivity being more useful, which only some support. Then there is tilt support which impacts brush thickness I guess?
Tons of random offbrand knockoffs of various styluses that are probably more trouble than it's worth, then something from more familiar company like Logitech...and then the plenty expensive apple pencil.
Would love a cheaper alternative to the pencil. Is there good options, or is this one you (currently) need to get the official one?
