Apple Photos & Third Party Plugins

So I think that with the new version of El Capitan Photos some third party extensions / plugins will be supported. Has anybody heard anymore on this?
Are there any apps in development that you guys are aware of?
I like the new Photos app, BUT I really miss Apertures advanced features, and plugins, especially for HDR.
