Take a MacBook Air and chop off the screen. That's it.

I actually have one. Unfortunately the Magic Trackpad 2 doesn't have any palm rejection like the built-in trackpads on Mac laptops do, so it ends up being uncomfortable to use as you are trying to be very careful when typing instead of just relaxing like you would with a laptop. Also the gap between the keyboard and trackpad is much larger.

Interesting. Never tried to put my desktop trackpad in front of my keyboard, but I’m surprised there’s no wrist rejection on the desktop trackpads.

But I agree with you that Apple should make a keyboard like this. I wonder if there’s a way to wire-up a USB connector to a stripped out MacBook keyboard & trackpad (or to the bottom half of a salvaged MacBook).

I would prefer a design with the trackpad at the right of the keyboard. I would buy several asap if Apple made that combo.
