Hi,

I know my 11 Pro has shipped thanks to UPS MyChoice. However, the Apple Store app says that it is still preparing to ship.

Regardless, when can I pre-sign for the delivery in order for it to be left at my doorstep? I have work on Friday. I always remember it being through Apple not UPS...

Thanks in advance,
countryside

Apple will most likely post a pre-sign page you can print out... However, it’s always left up to the driver to determine if it’s safe to leave the box and they know what’s in the box.

Last year I had the notes on the door and the driver still rang the bell and told me he personally did not leave iPhones on porches on launch day and would instead post a note saying it was not a safe location— and I live in a gated community.

I worry this will happen to me. I live in a gated community as well and my house is gated, however, I have had drivers use that excuse in the past for other packages. Thanks for the insight I will check Apple.com tomorrow and Thursday.

Isn’t the pre-sign form a Fedex thing? With UPS if you sign up for My Choice you can authorize most packages to be left without a signature.

This. I have had iPhones left by both UPS and Fedex. For UPS create a free MyChoice account and "check" the pre-authorize button. For Fedex you can go to your order on the Apple site and there is a button you can click to bring up a form you can print and place on your door. I believe that form is available when it is in transit.

No pre-sign option for me as well on Apple.com....

No pre authorize on UPS end either.

Email says it has shipping options if signature isn’t possible. “Other options” appears to be pickup. I live in a rural area... Not an option either.

Same here with UPS...I guess if it the option to pre-sign does not show up, I can leave a signed printed page of the tracking info and hope the driver accepts that....

To my understanding, no signature required. I called UPS today and confirmed this, at least this will be the case for my phones.

Just got off the phone with ups. They confirmed a signature is required. I called twice to Speak to two people for additional confirmation.

That makes sense, since it is launch day. People will be on the look out for boxes being left out.

Could it be that different shipment methods have different requirements? Just wondering why we're getting such mixed up results from UPS.

Edit- I just confirmed with another rep, seemed a bit more knowledgeable and did confirm that sig is required.
