Apple Preorder Question

I am pretty sure this has been asked before (please dont flame me)
When you preorder the iPhone 4 on the Apple Store, basically you login into your AT&T account and it checks your upgrade status (for existing customers) and you pay for it. On launch day, all you have to do is show your ID and they will just hand you the iPhone and help you activate it. Correct?
