Apple preorders only available as shipped to your home?

Is it just me or is there no available option to pick up at an Apple store for iPhone 5 preorders?

Is the shipping at least free and does it deliver on release day?

I just preordered from Apple.com in a regular laptop browser.

They would not let me select "pick up from an Apple store" - the radio button was visible, but I could not click it. I was very slightly disappointed.

It says "Delivery estimate 9/21", so it looks like they plan to deliver that day, they probably plan to ship earlier.

Edit: Shipping was free, and there were no shipping options like "overnight", it was just "Standard shipping - delivery estimate 9/21".

Could anyone edit their shipping address or is it only shipped to the address on your like carrier (AT&T, etc) account? Oh well, more of a drive for me to get it when it comes. lol

Yeah, can't edit shipping address. I was annoyed that pick up radio button was grayed out and so was shipping. Both things I wanted to select. Haha

Relax, by shipping it you'll avoid the lines on release day. And it might come a day early.

Same here.
Couldnt edit the shipping address on apple.
Now have to wait at home all day for the fedex guy.

Agreed ordered anyways, plus you get those annoying "geniuses" off your back with cameras in your face and them clapping as you walk out w/ it in hand

it shipped to my address in a different state. i dont live there anymore and couldnt change it
still waiting to see if i can edit it. Both of the address's in my billing and home are correct but it shipped to the one i signed up with. WTF
any body else have this problem?
