I don't think there is an official policy on price matching, but I have seen posts on here from people who got the manager at an Apple Store to price match other local retailers.

This. I actually bought an iPad at bestbuy last year during their sale, and when I went to apple to get AC+ they said they would have price matched them.

Personally I would rather buy from bestbuy b.c 1) their rewards structure and 2) if you get elite plus status (not hard with a lot of apple purchases) you get a 45 day return policy.
