Old news...

That's from 4 days ago, German site news , seems to be a problem with Mail.app :(

Translation from Sherlock

The anti-virus program Virex, since short as release version 7,5
available, obviously possesses an extremely unpleasant characteristic
in connection with E-Mail programs. An error, which already existed in
beta versions, seems to have in-crept into the final version:
According to user reports on the Mac Hilfeseite MacFixIt the program
"eats" sometimes whole mailboxes. The software, which is provided free
of charge with Apples Mac Account, therefore destroyed under Apple
Mail in the "Clean" mode so mentioned, which is used actually only for
pure "clearing up" (not for deletion), a complete Mac Inbox (tested
over POP3). The reason: Virex had discovered a "Mydoom" virus (as well
known only for PCS dangerously) and thereupon deleted the entire mbox
file. "this behavior is for the final version of a software directly
inakzeptabel", so the user concerned. It had to the luck a Backup.

;)

ouch!
that doesn't sound pleasant!

It does annoy me slightly - that they pull programs - but don't make the information readily available... people have to notice something is missing?!

Anyone know if 7.2.1 is ok?
Might not run 7.5 until I hear more.
