I can’t be the only one that thinks that setting up the Home Screen has become a true mess since the introduction of widgets? Attached are screen shots of my Home Screen Layout.
1. if I install a new app, it automatically gets installed on the 3rd page. However, I may need to put it into a folder on the 1st screen by dragging it there. This, however completely messes up my Home Screen layout. The widgets suddenly get thrown around and app icons are out of order and all over the place.
2. adding a widget to an existing stack on the first page. Why can’t we just edit an existing stack and add any available widget??? Why does it only allow me to edit widgets that are already part of that stack? Stupid. Every time I want to add another widget to my stack on the first page, it also messes up my whole Home Screen. Throwing apps on another page, trying to make room for a widget that I don’t even want to place there. I even had it happen that iOS suddenly erased all my folders. Throwing the app icons all over the place. Every time I move a widget now, I get a little panic attack.
3. why in gods earth can we not rearrange screens? So in order to change my screens, I need to drag everything from that screen on another page and then everything that was on the 2nd page back to the 1st page? Messy yet again
by the way, it has always been driving me nuts that it’s basically impossible to add an app to a folder in the bottom right corner. It always moves the folder on the 2nd page and when I move the app icon to the second page, it moves the folder back and forth. It’s almost funny. In order to finally get it inside that folder, I need to put that „social media“ folder further to the left and then add the app.

in the Video you can see some of the issues. The damn folder jumps to the 2nd page when I try to add an app to that folder and the Widgets gets thrown on another page. Freaking annoying
