Will be getting a MBP in the next couple of weeks, and was wondering if anyone would care to share their experiences with the rebate system? (I'm in NZ, not US)

1) Regarding the UPC labels, are they able to be removed easily without damaging the box?
2) Also, is the process itself hassle-free? I.e. just remove labels, fill out form, send and wait for cheque?
3) Will probably sell iPod as I already have one, can this be done straight away, or do I need to wait for rebate to be processed before doing so?

Thanks :)

1. yes, it's easy to do. Using a knife and just cutting a hole in the cardboard may be easier as well.
2. yes, it is more or less like any other rebate. It can take quite a while, but as long as you follow the directions you'll be fine.
3. you can sell it immediately once you remove the UPC label.

great, thanks for that. Oh, and if I do both the iPod and printer rebate, do they need to be sent in seperate envelopes or just one? (address is the same)

I have only had one rebate through Apple and I am in the US, but I had a check in my hand within 10 days of submitting the form online.
