Apple rebate?

I ordered a MBP recently and the "free" ipod touch just arrived. How exactly does the rebate work? I signed up for the rebate program and gave them my order number. All I got is this:

Thank you for submitting a rebate claim. Your rebate will be processed soon. You should have your rebate check within 30 days. However, if you return any products
that were part of this promotion, your rebate will be cancelled. When processing is complete, we will send you an email.

So I don't need any UPC codes or mail out anything? I plan to sell my ipod touch to recoup at least the tax portion of my MBP but I don't want to find out later that I need part of the ipod packaging to get the rebate.

I also ordered a printer as well I assume they will take care of both with the order number I gave them, right?

No, you will receive a check in the main within 30 days with the credit. No need to mail anything in.
