Apple recalls some iBook and PowerBook Batteries

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and other international safety authorities, Apple is voluntarily recalling certain lithium ion rechargeable batteries that were sold worldwide from October 2004 through May 2005 for use with the following notebook computers: 12-inch iBook G4, 12-inch PowerBook G4 and 15-inch PowerBook G4. These batteries were manufactured by LG Chem, Ltd. of South Korea.

The Batteries are once again made by LG, looks like Apple wont be using them again.

i think it's the old one...
however, i think u can still exchange it if your battery is the "one"

I thought that when i posted it, but MacWorld.co.uk have it up as Latest News, perhaps some models have been included.

I think some other models have been included. My 12" iBook from November 2004 wasn't included last time I checked and now it is. Got the new battery the other day.
