Just got mine refunded by calling into the apple store sales support. Heard from tech support (who transferred me) that they can no longer give out free bumpers because "they where giving out too many of them."

this just keeps getting more and more interesting to me.

I can understand doing that if the only reason you bought a Bumper was the antenna issue. Good deal, if true etc..

Interesting. The CSRs I have talked to act like hardly anyone is reporting this antenna issue.... yet they are giving out tons of bumpers for antenna issues.

Sounds like the better crank up the Bumper manufacturing.

They are going to need one for each and every iPhone box here shortly.

CSR I talked to yesterday said it's been he'll over therefor the last few days with all the people reporting the reception issue. She did make it sound as though she hadn't heard anything really about the proximity sensor issues.

Bought a bumper. Don't have antenna issues. Like the bumper. Not looking for a handout. You want something, pay for it (.).

are you kidding me? it is incredibly stupid to not demand a refund on the cost of something that people are receiving for free. The bumper has made my reception issues go away, my cousin called yesterday and is having a bumper sent to him for free (it will be here tomorrow). Why should I have to pay for something that costs another person nothing to fix a issue that could have been mitigated with a bumper INCLUDED for free with the device.

It's common sense.

This is annoying. If they're going to do this, it needs to be for everyone or no one. I don't like this wishy washy customer service.
