apple refurb 15 inch macbook pro

Looking for some help from the Macrumors community.

Starting looking at the refurbs 15 inch macbook pro's.

Listings now are at about $1499 to $1800 or so.

Has anyone seen them drop and lower than that, or not?

Previous generation 2.4GHz 15" MBP is/was 1349$ but I don't know are they available anymore. It had 9600M and express slot so it was a great bang for your buck

Kicking my self on that one for a while. Money wasn't there, but it was a sweet deal.

I doubt they will go any lower. The specs might be bumped up for a day or two. Just have to keep checking everyday. Never know what you might find.

I’m actually having the same dilemma; I can’t decide between two Macbook Pros prices similarly.

There is the newer 2.53ghz with 4 gigs ram for $1,499.99cdn or the older 2.4ghz with 2gigs ram and the 9600 GT card for the same price.

I plan on mostly using it for business purposes, website creation, light photo/video editing and Quickbooks (bootcamp). Would there be any advantage of getting the slower MBP with the 9600 video?
