Very interesting story to read. It's amazing they tried to get away from repairing a known defective machine, when they knew fully that nVidia would be covering the charges. I also agree with this statement from the story:
Let's face the facts; that's what their business is built upon: it just works. They even used that statement in advertising.
For those tl;dr users, the guy had a MBP with the defective nVidia card. Apple tried to refuse fixing it for various silly reasons. He took them to small claims court and won.
