Apple Releases QuickTime 7.6.6 for Leopard and Windows

Apple today released versions of QuickTime 7.6.6, addressing a number of reliability and security issues, for Mac OS X Leopard and Windows users. For Snow Leopard users, the update appears to have been folded into yesterday's Mac OS X 10.6.3 update. According to the release notes, the update QuickTime 7.6.6 update includes iMovie-related reliability enhancements for Leopard and H.264 playback improvements for Windows systems.

- QuickTime 7.6.6 for Leopard (68.63 MB): Requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later

- QuickTime 7.6.6 for Windows (32.28 MB): Requires Windows 7, Vista, or XP (SP2 or later)

Installed it...nothing's changed. Then again i don't use iMovie or Windows

Great news. Even though I don't have any issues with QuickTime 7 its good to see that Apple is keeping it alive. It's good for stripping audio and video, something that the new QuickTime X can't do yet.

When you say yet, do you mean that the missing features will come back? It annoyed me when I upgraded that 'Play selection only' 'Play all frames' 'Loop back and forth' and 'Playback speed' were all gone.
I really hope these little features come back.

Blah!! This was one crappy upgrade. Now videos than are exported are crappy when uploaded to youtube. The video goes twice as fast.

Any one know how to downgrade??
