Apple Releases Safari Technology Preview 36 With Bug Fixes and Performance Improvements

Apple today released a new update for Safari Technology Preview, the experimental browser Apple first introduced one year ago in March of 2016. Apple designed the Safari Technology Preview to test features that may be introduced into future release versions of Safari.

Safari Technology Preview release 36 includes fixes and improvements for JavaScript, CSS, WebRTC, Web Driver, Rendering, Media, Web Inspector, and WebAssembly.

With Safari 11 now available to developers through the macOS High Sierra beta, Apple is providing two versions of Safari Technology Preview, one for macOS Sierra users and one for those using macOS High Sierra.

The Safari Technology Preview update is available through the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store to anyone who has downloaded the browser. Full release notes for the update are available on the Safari Technology Preview website.

Apple's aim with Safari Technology Preview is to gather feedback from developers and users on its browser development process. Safari Technology Preview can run side-by-side with the existing Safari browser and while designed for developers, it does not require a developer account to download.

Oh, I know the real derivation, but I still like the sound of the way it's popularly (mis)understood. And I was going for melodramatic, so it fit. :D
 
My download said both STP and Beats Updater for BeatsX among others...

Would be nice to know the content of the Beats update as I have BeatsX headphones (that my MacMini is really lousy at connecting to.)

Even after the install, the BeatsX don’t appear in the airplay icon in the Mac toolbar, and don’t always appear in app he audio out option menu in settings.

The transfer from iPhone to iPad to watch over iOS and wOS is solid but mOS needs improvement.

Has anyone else noticed this hyped anti-tracking thing they did doesn't really work at all? I still get cross-site ads for stuff I looked at in one place follows me to the next.

It'll always be an arms race. Better run a blocker like uBlock origin or 1Blocker on top of this.

Well keep in mind advertisers already know a lot about you from before used the new safari. Maybe it takes some time to take effect.
