Apple today provided public beta testers with the third release of an upcoming macOS Tahoe 26.3 update for testing purposes. The public beta comes a day after Apple provided the third beta to developers.

After signing up for beta testing on Apple's beta site, public beta testers can download the updates using the Software Update section in the System Settings app.

We don't know about any new features in macOS Tahoe 26.3 as of yet, but Apple might introduce new capabilities in later beta releases.

The beta is limited to developers and public beta testers at the current time, but we are expecting Apple to release the update at the end of January.

Hopefully this includes a fix for NAS.
This has been a known bug for a few months.
My Synology disappeared from my network a few months ago and then I found out about the bug.

It seems that they're now requiring login from sleep almost daily in an effort to piss me off and upgrade. But based on what I've read and know, it's still not ready for me to upgrade. Just had a pop-up to upgrade to 26.2 and offered to restart now or tonight. I just closed it.

This behavior is not related to any "update campaigns" being pushed by Apple. You might want to look into your Lock Screen options (inside  > System Settings)

Look for the section that says Require password after screen saver begins or display is turned off

(Be aware that Password is immediately required when iPhone Mirroring is set to automatically authenticate and based on other security settings you may have changed.)

It's only a small issue but hoping this update provides the opportunity to customise apple music display so I can remove that multi-click abomination of a controls bar at bottom of screen now.

I see a lot of bugs being reported on Reddit. Similarly many of the visuals remain unaddressed, such as the top header bar in Preview being a complete mess, the blurred text making buttons unreadable in most headers and Photos taking on the wrong color (dark vs light) causing this weird smudge at the top.

Tahoe looks so ugly… I just don’t know why they had to ruin a perfectly fine UI. Even Ubuntu looks so much better and more consistent now.

I haven't seen/noticed any of these things?

New Liquid Glass graphic update (on Intel MBP) to my pointer/cursor now makes it a colored rectangle. Ups the challenge to click on things correctly!

Third time is a charm, so Apple’s third attempt to make version 26 right is working…..right? RIGHT? 🤨
I am kind of wondering if I can just keep humming along on Sequoia until MacOS 27 arrives later this year. So far, I've seen *zero* consequences on my laptop, despite having been forced to update to iOS 26 to use my new Airpods.

Was observing the same behavior, and your post clarified why (iPhone Mirroring) - thank you!

Thanks. Somewhere a change was made that I didn't do. And the prompts started along with the prodding to upgrade, which is why I made the connection. Interesting. I didn't even know about the iPhone Mirroring app and didn't have it set up. I just set it up and set it to require the password every time it connects.

Sounds like a graphics card/driver issue from that description. You mentioned it was intel - have you tried "forcing" the graphics to the dGPU if you have one? It's called "Automatic Graphics Switching" under "Options..." at the bottom of the Battery part of System Settings.

If you don't have that setting, I'd be tempted to go play with the larger/colorful mouse pointer settings under Accessibility to see if that magically brings the cursor image back to life. Could just be a corrupted "image" of the pointer.

Mine on my 2020 MBP 4 Thunderbolt 3 did the same thing. Got some what of a fix in Accessibility. Go to Accessibility then Display, scroll to Pointer and hit Reset Colors. See if it helps.

Same issue of a cursor having a weird colour around it depending on background.
Have tried the Reset colour trick but issue continues.

The other issue I have is Safari now keep reloading Facebook until it can not do it anymore, and found the same issue on Marriott website when looking at my upcoming bookings.

Have not tried Chrome yet, but have Firefox and no issue at all.

Edit:
Another issue is when editing any text in Microsoft Word the text becomes unreadable.

Same issue here on 2019 Intel MP, theyre fixing graphics subsystem probably.

I've seen others have same issues especially on Intel. Hang in there.

Thanks for the recommendation. I did try it to no avail. When I first updated I did play with the pointer settings a bit and shrunk it a bit. The rectangle color is tied to the color selected for the pointer.

I hadn't hit that Reset Color button, though had tried everything else. This does restore the pointer to a normal look, but there are still some graphic issues when the pointer turns to a hand hovering over things. Thankfully, this fixed most of the issue! I appreciate the help.
