paint it yourself?

I have not seen anything like that. Also a black powercord will be nice.

What is the best way to print a remote or a power adapter? What type of paint/ metod etc.? Are there any DIY instructions for this?

well, how do people paint the top of their iBooks?

i dont actually know, i'm actually wondering this as well

and could they paint the remote the same way?

If you did paint the Apple Remote black it would be hard to see the controls.

But i guess that most people would know how to use the remote without looking anyway.

It would be very difficult to paint the cables without it coming off, so a new power adapter with cables already black would be the way to go.

What material is the remote made from?

For the power cable, just buy some black cable from a DIY store, cut it to length and replace the white cable with it?

in the hackers (source of obviously outdated and useless info) they used spray paints...

i personally think this is a good idea and would rather spray than poster paint my mb anyday (if i want to that is)

what about that wrap and roll/ roll and wrap things that people used to print and stick logos onto the vans etc?

anyway i think this is a slippery slope. first your remote, then your cable... soon you will be living in an all black world since you have to paint your room, screen etc black as well...

This brings a certain song to mind...

Anyway, I think most of the iBook mods involve painting the *inside* of the case, not the outside--that's where the color is; it's transparent plastic with white paint on the inside. The remote is of course solid color, so that won't work.

But I would imagine that any gloss finish paint that will stick to plastic (some kind of model paint, maybe? I have no idea) would do the trick. Just be REALLY careful about masking the IR end, and not to clog up the buttons with paint. I'd recommend dismantling the thing to paint it, but it doesn't look like that's really possible without destroying it.

i think the white contrasts well with the macbook pro.
like the power adapter.

accessories (iPod, airport, remote)=white
hardware (computer)=aluminum

I think that Apple Should try to match accesories with their computers. All except the MacBook Pro.
