Is anyone else having this problem? It's weird...it'll "crash"/hang on launch...no windows appear, and nothing happens even after waiting for minutes. Immediately on launch, clicking on it in the dock just gives you an Application Not Responding/Force Quit option.

And it'll keep doing that on subsequent relaunches.

*However*, if you keep *rebooting*, when/if it *does* work, it'll *continue* to work throughout that "boot."

I'm on a MacBook Pro M4.

Oh, nevermind. An update for ARD just came out, complete with a really bad looking icon.

FWIW, the problem still exists even with ARD 3.1. I've also install MacOS 26.1 Public Beta 1, and now PB 4 and the problem still persists.

not my, but resolve the issue...

1. Logged in with an admin account.
2. Opened Terminal.
3. Ran the following command to stop the Apple Remote Desktop client:

sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -agent -stop

4. Ran the following command to remove the /Library/Application Support/Apple/Remote Desktop/Client directory:

sudo rm -rf /Library/Application\ Support/Apple/Remote\ Desktop/Client

5. Ran the following command to restart the Apple Remote Desktop client:

sudo /System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/Resources/kickstart -agent -restart
