Will the apple remote work with the new mac books?

Also, is there an updated version or only one version thanks.

Sam

There is only one version :)

That is to say, there have been no new features to the remote itself, just to Front Row. Your old remote should work fine with your new MacBook and Front Row. :D

AFAIK you can use the iPhone for iTunes directly, but not for the functions of Front Row (menu button, navigation)...you can only use it to play/pause/forward/back.

yes the apple remote works and i use it all the time!

The menu button on the remote is awsome and it controls everything in itunes. Its worth it! and no new model (they should make one in aluminum!!)

It'd be nice if they added this to the iPhone! Really, it'd be nice if there was just an all in one app that made your iPhone a keyboard, mouse, file navigator, and gave you complete control over your MacBook, Pro, Air, Mac Pro, Mini, or iMac.

Wouldn't be impossible. The mouse app is already there. You could incorporate the QWERTY pad to pop up when you hit parts of the screen that require text input. The lack of Front Row support is just laziness : \.
