apple remote use with powerpoint?

does anyone know if it is possible to use the apple remote to advance slides in a powerpoint presentation? if so, how?

It works automatically with Keynote, I would think PPT is the same.

i've tried with ppt 2004 and it doesn't work like it does with keynote. i was wondering if there were settings i could adjust or create an automator workflow or something to get it to work.

why not open the powerpoint in keynote?

It doesn't work with PowerPoint 2004, however, it's an advertised feature in Office '08, if it's that important to you. If not, open in Keynote if you have it.
