Apple Remote with a G5/older Mac mini?

Is there anyway I can use an Apple Remote with a Power Mac G5 or G4 Mac Mini? Perhaps a USB infra red dongle?

Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

Nope. It only works with the built in receivers as these are connected in a special way. You can get remotes from Keyspan and others that work though. As Front-Row will be available for all in Leopard (officially, not via hacks like now) this may change then...
