Apple has renewed "Carpool Karaoke: The Series" for a fifth season, and with the renewal, the TV show will be migrating from Apple Music to Apple TV+. "Carpool Karaoke" could be watched through the Apple Music app or the Apple TV app, but it has not previously been a part of Apple TV+ and limited to Apple TV+ subscribers.

Based on the "Carpool Karaoke" segment of the "The Late Late Show With James Corden," Apple's version of "Carpool Karaoke" has been available since 2017.

Filming on "Carpool Karaoke" has been on hiatus due to the ongoing pandemic, according to Deadline, but efforts are underway to begin production once again.

"Carpool Karaoke: The Series" brings various actors, athletes, and musicians together to chat and sing popular songs with one another. The fourth season of the show featured pairings like Maya Rudolph and Haim, Keegan-Michael Key and Rob Gronkowski, and the "Shark Tank" sharks.

There's no word yet on which celebrities will be featured in the fifth season of the show.

Why didn't they just use a 3-row SUV with one person in each row and all of them wearing masks? Or maybe even a bigger vehicle like a Sprinter or something similar.

Let’s be real, if you could find an excuse — any excuse — not to pile into a car with random people singing karaoke, wouldn’t you take it? :D

Gotta assume the Schitt’s Creek cast would makes an appearance.

I just renewed so we’re good.
Same, I renewed and took an additional year free, so I have two years of TV+ queued up and ready to enjoy.

... Just not this show. This show stinks.

Phew! I’m double-glad that I cancelled my free Apple TV+ subscription now!
So am I! Apple doesn’t have enough watchable programming yet to get me to sign up for monthly payments. I rarely watched anything worth watching during the 15 months I had a free membership, so I was quick to cancel before I had to start paying for it.

Sorry, I can support a show that promotes distracting driving.
You can?
I can imagine 10s of people breathing a sigh of relief to this news.
I can’t imagine more than fingers on one hand. And I’m not counting my thumb. And my pinky is kind of bent lopsided, so I don’t count that one either.
They're still making this? I mean, it was a fun skit for a bit, but 5 seasons of full show?

Apple, I have an idea for a new reality show: "Will it float".
Will it sink? Now THAT would be funny!
how bored do you have to be to watch this?
Sheesh, even the most distasteful home tasks I have are more exciting than this. Doing laundry AND folding it. Cleaning the toilet. Replacing the other toilet. Scrubbing that nasty stuff out of the grout in the shower. Rooting the sewer between the house and the street. Doing my taxes. Answering a phone call about my car’s extended warranty. Answering a phone call about YOUR car’s extended warranty. Buying insurance. Making an insurance claim. Retaking high school algebra, trigonometry, AND calculus. Redoing my 10 year old signature line on MacRumors.

Man oh man, I’m gonna get a lot of stuff done this next weekend!
Singing while driving isn't exactly much of a distraction, and the car they're in is almost certainly being towed, they're not really driving.
It’s distracting if you have a pitchless Peter or rhythmless Rebecca in your car. I’m certain that causes a lot of deaths on our highways. But we don’t usually let people drive their couches down the street, so there’s that!
