Before I brought my MacBook pro in for repair, I had 52.02GB of free space. After they installed a new Logic board and a new SuperDrive, I brought it back home. Now I have 51.68GB of free space. 340MB are missing.

Can the installation of these two items take a little space away from the hard drive?

Thanks.

No, but they may have had to reconfigure your computer a bit, do some troubleshooting and so forth.

I doubt it's anything to worry about.
