Hi Guys,
I sent my laptop to apple earlier this week because I was having problems reading dual layer DVD's (The Leopard Disk and movies like The Great Escape). Anyways, I call apple to check on repairs and the apple guy tells me they replaced my drive as well as my logic board. Would they normally replace that if there was a problem with the DVD drive?? Will my processor/graphics card be the same? Do you guys think that they are changing this because of the infamous Nvidia issue?

So maybe they found a problem with the motherboard--and no your processor and GPU will be new/refurbished.

For many issues they change your Logic Board out. If they notice any issues they will change it, even if you didnt have a problem. I had my Superdrive replaced on my iBook last year and they replaced the logic board, bottom case, and the superdrive.
