Apple replaced my 3gs with a new one from the back.

My question is that that got replaced was a Fido. i am no longer with Fido and have gone to Telus. Is the phone factory unlocked. Can I just stick my telus sim in and lauch itunes.

Also I dont know what firmware is on there. Can have it forced to install 4.1.

Currently the phone they gave me is not charged.

thanks

Hey guys fantastic new, the Iphone they gave me must have been Factory un Locked.

I stuck my Telus sim in and activated via Itunes and bang it is now configured for Telus...

It's not unlocked, it just locked to whatever sim you used to activate it. Try using a Fido, Bell or Rogers sim in it now to see if it's actually unlocked. Or don't...as long as it works it's all good!
