Apple replacing my unibody mbp :-)

I've had screen flicker issues and sent it in 3 times. Finally called and spoke to upper-levle management and without me even asking or arguing he said he would replace the machine (late-2008) with a new one.

I upgraded to the high-res screen and i5 processor so I am happy

though I'm still waiting for my fed-ex shipping label in e-mail

paid $100 for the hires upgrade and thats it

lucky you. They told me no way they cant replace new machines. No matter how many problems you have. The manager offered me a free case If i wanted a case I would have bought one. It doesn't help me not having a machine for over 3 weeks. Oh or i could buy a machine to use and return it without a restocking fee. Because i definitely have 2k laying around.

If you've repeatedly had the same issue and its expensive to fix they might offer you a new machine
