I've had screen flicker issues and sent it in 3 times. Finally called and spoke to upper-levle management and without me even asking or arguing he said he would replace the machine (late-2008) with a new one.

I upgraded to the high-res screen and i5 processor so I am happy :D

though I'm still waiting for my fed-ex shipping label in e-mail :(

lucky you. They told me no way they cant replace new machines. No matter how many problems you have. The manager offered me a free case  If i wanted a case I would have bought one. It doesn't help me not having a machine for over 3 weeks. Oh or i could buy a machine to use and return it without a restocking fee. Because i definitely have 2k laying around.

I am glad at least someone had luck! Thats great!

Try calling.

If you've repeatedly had the same issue and its expensive to fix they might offer you a new machine
