Apple requesting iPhone diagnostic info

Has anyone else seen this? I plugged my phone into my Macbook today and when iTunes popped up there was a message saying that Apple would like to get diagnostic info from my phone and that no personal info would be transmitted, etc. etc. Any idea what they might use this for? I clicked yes, of course. No reason not to give them the info. I trust Apple...

It's kind of like a crash report, I got it after Safari crashed on me, we are all beta testers

I used to say yes until I Jailbroke my iphone. It would really not surprise me if it also sent a complete list of directories and contents in that report which would enable Appple to determine whether or not it had been modified.
